What the Job is All about:
Develop and execute media outreach strategies to pitch our achievements and journalists’ stories to relevant media outlets, bloggers, and influencers;
Create engaging PR articles, press releases, and other promotional materials;
Participate in the development and implementation of company PR projects and events (online and offline);
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders to secure media placements and collaborations;
Handle local partnerships;
Monitor media coverage and track PR performance, providing regular reports and insights to the team;
Collaborate closely with the editorial team to align PR efforts with content strategies.

Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field;
Proven 3-year experience as a PR Manager or similar role, preferably in the media industry;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Impeccable literacy;
Strong media relationships and a network of contacts;
A systematic approach to getting things done;
Ability to work well under pressure and handle crises effectively;
Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR software is a plus;
Knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape is highly desirable;
Knowledge of Photoshop, Figma, Canva or some other editing software
